What is the story of Falun Gong?

I have been practicing Falun Gong for nearly 20 years now. I found out about the practice through a close friend and even though at first i didn’t really have much interest in a Qigong practice, after reading the teaching and doing the exercises I could feel easily that the practice was a very powerful healer and had an incredible effect of making my mind peaceful and calm.

I have explained to many friends and work colleagues about the short history of Falun Gong. Quite often because they wanted to know why, a practice that has helped me so much in both my personal and spiritual life, could possibly be persecuted in such a terrifying way by the Chinese Government.

Normally I explain the whole thing like this…. back in 1992 a man named Mr. Li Hongzhi started giving lectures about his Buddha school Qigong practice called Falun Gong. Qigong is a bit like Tai Qi but more powerful in the way of spiritual up liftment. Before starting his lecturing to the people of China, he let the formal science research societies do tests with him to show that he had energy and differing powers that have only been formally recorded in other Qigong Masters and he also showed other powers such as changing one metal into other metals, that the scientists had not seen before. The scientists formally recorded the events with Mr. Li Hongzhi.

He also attended some major Qigong events held in different provinces of China where he was regularly awarded by the officials for the healing power of his practice.

By 1997 the practice had acrewed a whopping 100 million people China wide who were formally practicing Falun Gong in their daily lives. This was mainly due to word of mouth by the people who had attended Mr.Li Hongzhi’s lectures and then told others. I have seen the pictures of thousands of people in parks all around China practicing the 5 exercises. In the practice there is a book called Zhuan Falun which is the teaching of the Buddha Fa of Falun Gong, and there is the 5 exercises, a little like Tai Qi exercises. For me it was after I read the book that so much made sense and hit the core elements of answering some pretty major questions about life itself.

Religious persecution under the Chinese Communist Party

Not many of you may know this but in China, under the current rule of the Chinese Communist Party, if you want to have a spiritual belief, you basically need to formally state that the Chinese Government is your first God, Buddha or Dao, depending on your beliefs. I know that sound ridiculous, but that is how full on the CCP is, they literally won’t let you have a spiritual belief of your own accord, they try to force you to believe only what they want you to believe.

So as you can imagine, the Falun Gong practice became hugely popular, and as I understand it, and going by the Chinese tv and paper news articles I have read and witnessed, everyone in China was being uplifted by it in one way or another. Healthier bodies, healing families in interpersonal crisis, uplifting people’s spiritual efforts and basically showing the people of China that the principles of truth, compassion and tolerance (which are the guiding principles of Falun Gong) are hugely beneficial and the 3 main principles of the practice itself.

Then all of  sudden the Premier of China, a guy named Jiang Zemin, through his disgust that a spiritual practice could reach such huge support from the people of China, decided to totally ban all people from practicing it and even formally made it illegal! Its as insidious as our premier here in Australia making yoga illegal. He also set up an elite group of cops to go around rounding up these poor and innocent men and woman who were practicing Falun Gong and putting them into jail. While in jail they were told that if they didn’t formally renounce their belief in Falun Gong they would face torture!

An interesting thing happened though that a great majority of the Falun Gong practitioners that were subjected to this insidious  treatment would rather go to their death than renounce their belief in Falun Gong! This made Jiang Zemin decide to start forcefully harvesting their human organs, including skin and eyeballs, and start selling them on the world online organ trade market that our hospitals use to save lives.

So hundreds of thousands of these beautiful Falun Gong practitioners were literally carved up and sold as organs to be put in other people’s bodies! And worst of all, this is still happening today, other world governments have been powerless to stop it. I know this all sounds hard to believe, but there has already been a huge 2 year legal investigation happen on it, and the 2 lawyers who did the investigation were world renown in the human rights sectors, and after proving the whole grisly thing as true, they then dedicated a lot of their time to visiting the governments of the world again and again to share their finding with them and warn that the CCP is not a normal governing body and should be exposed for its evil crimes against humanity.

Now that’s the short short, but naturally there is tons of information out there about the whole process. One thing to be careful of is that, when all of this was happening, the CCP did everything possible to make sure that they would not be readily caught, including putting out tons of completely bogus propaganda both in China and around the world, defaming and demonizing Falun Gong. This laid the path of years and years of undisturbed treachery and carnage by the CCP.

So when investigating for yourself, be careful, but I am sure you will see clearly the garbage the CCP put out there. Mainly because it is so completely the opposite from the rational truth.
